It looks like the Smashing Pumpkins have a lot of new music in the pipeline.
Frontman Billy Corgan announced on the band's revamped website Tuesday that they've inked a new record deal with BMG, and are now turning their attention to recording two new albums for 2015.
Corgan says the new discs will be called Monuments to an Elegy and Day for Night. He describes their sound as "guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars."
Corgan expects to have the first single out by the end of this year, marking the Pumpkins' first new music since 2012's Oceania. He says recording sessions kicked off Tuesday, and explains that fans will be able to keep track of the band's progress via posts, pictures, and sound clips on the new SmashingPumpkinsNexus.com.
